Hooked Rugs

My love of folk art, as well as my interest in historical textile work by women, lead me to traditional rug hooking. My first finished rug was "Nuts About You,"  a title given to it by my father-in-law.

My rugs tend not necessarily realistic looking, as I tend to use more medium and wide cut wool strips (also known as "primitive style"), than the rugs that are more traditional - shaded, finer and have more details.

My husband, illustrator, cartoonist and writer Bob Eckstein, has drawn the rugs that I hooked.
